Worship is our response to the revelation of God. It can but it does not necessarily have to involve music; however, music and the other arts are God’s artistic and creative gifts to us which can be used to express our adoration back to Him! Our Worship philosophy is based on two passages in the Bible: 1) God is seeking worshippers who will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth! (John 4:23-24) and 2) Worship is a lifestyle in which we present our whole beings to God daily as an offering of praise to Him, our Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer.
Below, there are different opportunities to serve God and His church through the worship ministries here at First Baptist Bloomfield. Read on and prayerfully consider being used by God according to the gifts and talents He has given you!
FACILITATING WORSHIP AT THE 8:15 CELEBRATION
Rehearsals are on Thursdays 7:00-8:30 pm in the Auditorium.
FACILITATING WORSHIP AT THE 10:45 CELEBRATION
The primary question is not, “Do you have a voice?” but “Do you have a song?” If you believe God has put a song of gratitude and praise in your heart and feel called to encourage others to find it, the ministry of the Celebration Choir is the place for you! Musically speaking, you need to be able to carry a tune and have sense of tempo (the ability of singing together with others). More importantly, we look for followers of Jesus who love the Lord and want to encourage others to express their love and praise to the One who is worthy of all praise! The Celebration Choir leads worship weekly at the 10:45 a.m. Sunday service. The choir season is typically September through December and January through May. They also present special seasonal outreach programs at Christmas, Easter and other times of the year.
Rehearsals are every Wednesday at 6:30-8:00 pm in the Music Room
Here at First Baptist Bloomfield, we believe in raising worshippers from an early age.

Music Room (next to the Auditorioum)
We have an active Handbell ministry that meets on Sundays from 4:00 until 5:30 p.m. in the Music Room. If you have rung before or would like to inquire further about the possibility, please contact our Handbell Director, Joan Lewis at (505)325-6414. (Music be able to read music).
At this time we do not have an organized drama group that meets regularly; however, we have a desire to encourage a team of actors who would use their artistic talents for Sunday dramatic presentations or special outreach events.
