Youth Ministry

Youth

FBC youth is for teenagers in grades 7-12 throughout San Juan County. We exist to partner with parents to make disciples who can make more disciples of Jesus Christ. Through weekly activities and annual big events, we seek to provide a place for your teenagers where they will have tons of fun while learning about how God can change their lives.

youth2Annual Events

Every year we have multiple events for FBC youth to help them grow in their personal walk with God in the context of a life-giving community of their peers.  Youth can participate in events such as summer camp, local and international mission trips, and various outreach projects.

youth1Sunday Bible Study

Sunday Bible study groups are for each grade and gender. These small groups meet every Sunday at 9:30 a.m and are led by a trusted team of volunteer adult church members.  Youth will be encouraged to study Scripture from the perspective of applying it to their daily lives.  Adult teachers in each class are committed to helping youth grow deep in their walk with God in a fun, age appropriate atmosphere.

Wednesday Bible Study

Awaken is our Wednesday evening time Bible study and music worship at 6:30pm in the Chapel. We open the Rec. Center at 5:30pm for a time of games and hanging out and end our time together with some group games in the gym until 8:30pm.

youth3Power Lunch

PowerLunch is two things:

1) A free lunch provided by the food services team of our church

2) A student-led Bible devotion during that lunch period.

Power Lunch is held at 4 school campuses once a month (Mesa Alta Junior High, Bloomfield High School, Aztec High School, Koogler Middle School).

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus. Acts 4.13 (ESV)
